Burgan Bank Provides its Services
Via Arabic / English SMS

Since 1999,
Burgan Bank has proved itself as a pioneer in providing electronic banking and
financial services. The bank has recently developed the "B-SMS Service" in
Arabic/English, which was previously limited to just English.
"This service enables the customer to request financial and banking information
on any of their accounts, whether they are in Kuwait or abroad." Mr. Wael
Al-Sultan, Manager, Electronic Banking Services and Cards of Burgan Bank, said:
"The customer can now access the SMS service via mobile phone in Arabic and
English. The Bank has upgraded this service to include Arabic for those
subscribers of Wataniya or MTC".
Message Programming
Al-Sultan stated in a press release that the service in both languages will be
available to customers upon their request. "A customer may request specific
pre-programmed messages or receive SMS’ on their mobile within seconds in the
language they desire." He continued, “The Bank will provide the customer with
the opportunity to inquire about a host of services in Arabic through mobile,
including loan inquiry for a maximum of two loans and maturity dates of
deposits, among other services."
"Burgan Bank also provides exclusive services, where the customer can inquire in
Arabic, and receive a direct response through Arabic SMS." He continued, "Burgan
Bank provides this service via SMS to the subscribers of both companies. These
services include the possibility to inquire in either language about their
accounts, the last depositing transaction, the last debit to the account, in
addition to inquiring about credit cards and balances, whether ordinary or
pre-paid credit cards."
"To facilitate service to Burgan Bank's customers, the Bank will devote two
service telephone numbers, through which they can inquire about the desired
services". He stated.
Available Services
Al-Sultan noted that Burgan’s Arabic/English SMS service will provide the
customer with the opportunity to inquire about loans, loan balance, payment
dates and debit. "In the mean time, the customer may request any service through
SMS, where the customer requests will be programmed and responded to within
pre-set timings. Moreover, the service will provide the customer with the
opportunity to inquire about any financial or banking information relevant to
their accounts, at any time throughout the year." He Added.
Al-Sultan also emphasized that Burgan Bank will continue to develop its services
and innovate new services in the local banking sector over the forthcoming
period to meet its customers' requirements and expectations. "Such a pioneering
position will be reflected by the services always provided by the bank to its
customers." He stressed. "The pioneering position was not a coincidence, but is
a result of the volume of electronic financial and banking services previously
offered by the Bank, including, but not limited to the "Call Center", "Bee
Everywhere", "Burgan Everywhere", "B 24", "Trading on Global Financial Markets
via Burgan Bank's website" and "Beebank on-line banking service", exclusively
provided by Burgan Bank."
